In the future Jos van Kan hopes to work on the following projects:

2010 / 2011

"Down South". A music-theatre show in the open air, written by Tjeerd Bisschof, at Tryater in Leeuwarden. Openingnight 4-9-2010, Leeuwarden.

"Mappamondo" by the composer Richard Rijnvos. Performed by bariton Frans Fiselier and the Ives Ensemble. Openingnight 30-10-2011, Zaterdag Matinee Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

"The Maids" by Jean Genet. Amrita Performing Arts in Phnom Penh. A music- theatre show for three actresses accompanied by traditional Khmer musicians. In collaboration with the Dutch composer Marlijn Helder and the Cambodian fashion designer Romyda Keth. Openingnight December 2010, Chenla Theatre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

A new work of the composer Jan van de Putte at Slagwerkgroep Den Haag. "Vissen hoesten niet". Openingnight 19-02-2011, Schouwburg Rotterdam.

Teaching at Rotterdams Conservatorium, Codarts, Master New Musicthetare. Rotterdam, spring 2011.


2011 / 2012

A new play, written by himself, for a Dutch actress and two traditional musicians from Cambodia.

A new theatre show at Tryater, Leeuwarden.

Teaching at Rotterdams Conservatorium, Codarts, Master New Musicthetare. Rotterdam.

At the Holland Festival 2012. "50 x 76, De rode Kimono", a new work of the composer Micha Hamel. Performed by Hexagon Ensemble and dancer and improvisor Michael Schumacher. In collaboration with Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. " De Rode Kimono" by George Hendrik Breitner will be on stage and music theatre inspired on this painting will be performed around it. Openingnight June 2012 Amsterdam.


2012 / 2013

Cello Suites by Benjamin Britten, with Gregor Horsch, cello soloist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and Michael Schumacher, dancer and improvisor. Lu Kun, fashion designer from Shanghai, will design the costumes.

"Curlew River" an opera by Benjamin Britten with Stichting Octopus, Amsterdam.
